The Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for innovative contributions particularly related to the theme of the conference. The theme for this years' meeting is "Pharmaceutical Preparedness Towards Epidermic Outbreaks in West Africa". All selected abstracts will be published in the West African Journal of Pharmacy conference edition which will be distributed to all delegates during the meeting.
Abstracts on the conference theme will be given preference. However papers can also be submitted in the following topics: Drug Regulation and Control; HIV/AIDS; Tuberculosis; Malaria and other tropical diseases; Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology; Pharmacoeconomics; Traditional Medicine; Pharmaceutical sciences; Non-communicable diseases and other related topics.
How to submit your abstract
► Read the guidelines below.
► If you intend to attend the conference, click on "Register" link in the menu and register. This will allow you to check the status of the Abstract later. It also registers you for the conference. But if you do not intend to attend the conference, just move to the next step.
► Click on "Abstract submission" link and read the information. Towards the bottom of that page, you will see a link labelled "Submit Abstract". Click on it.
► Fill out the form with the MS word or RTF text file of the Abstract attached
► Click on the "Add" button at the bottom of the page you are done.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
All abstracts must be submitted in English
The text should not exceed 250 words (excluding authors' names and affiliations)
Do not include scientific symbols, acronyms, numbers, bullets, or lists inside the abstract
The text of the abstract should briefly state.
Author and co-authors (the presenting author should be underlined)
Institutional Affiliation and email address of the presenting author
It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
Only abstracts submitted electronically will be selected /accepted for review
Use font 12 of Times New Roman to prepare your abstract.
The deadline for abstract submission is 15th January, 2017.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the AGM Scientific Committee. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of the review by 29th January, 2017. Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will receive further instructions for presenting their abstract (either oral or poster presentation).
New Fellows are particularly encouraged to submit abstracts based on their Fellowship Dissertations. Abstracts can also be based on Case reports from Residency training.
